Pilot Lee Oman & the T-6
T-6 Gift Certificate Holders
We stopped giving rides in the North American T-6 on July 1, 2012 due to the
inability to get insurance coverage at the minimums that the Museum required
plus the problems caused in acquiring reasonable coverage following the Reno Air
Race Tragedy in September of 2011.
Notice Given For Last 3 years---
All purchasers of T-6 Gift Certificates were either advised or it was noted on
our Website that if T-6 rides became unavailable at any time, the Gift
Certificates would be "flown off" using the Biplane Collection at the exact same
retail value for retail value. For example, if you have a T-6 Gift Certificate
for 30 minutes which retailed at 495.00 plus tax, you'll be able to "fly off"
your Gift Certificate in as many flights as it takes to give you an equivalent
value even if you decide to take multiple flights on different days or arrange
for two planes to fly simultaneously on a weekend when we can do this. In short,
you'll be able to use it up just as you would a gift card from any store until
the value is used up. Biplane rides are roughly half the price of the T-6 rides
so your value will go a long way.
Your gift certificate is also transferable in whole or part. If you wish to
exchange your T-6 Gift Certificate for several biplane gift certificates made
out to different people, contact us at 206-730-1412 and we'll take care of this.
Thank you for your patience with us. We tried to keep it in service, but the
insurance nightmare has been constantly intimidating and it finally overwhelmed
us.
Best,
Olde Thyme Aviation, Inc.
